A well-camouflaged Great Roadrunner. It is a desert bird that lives on large insects and lizards. Here he has a nice vantage point from which to spot prey. If he sees something, he runs towards it.

The roadrunner is a bird that truly belongs to the Sonoran Desert. As his name suggests, he prefers to run rather than fly.
